Chernobyl Saviour Pine Cross solargraph – Archival quality print, frame not included

£30.00

Description

Decaying remains of the Pine Cross tree, known as the “Chernobyl Saviour”, photographed over a period of one year with a hand-made pinhole camera.

The Pine Cross tree is fascinating. From World War II turmoil to tales of paranormal properties, whether true or not, the Pine Cross tree played a little-known but significant part in the story of the Chernobyl disaster.

I have written an article exploring its history and significance — read it here.

Each print is produced using a 10-colour archival pigment printing process on heavyweight 300gsm pearlescent photographic paper. For works larger than 13″x19″ please contact me directly.
