Emerald Children’s Summer Camp in Chernobyl – Autumn

If the rumours about the most recent Chernobyl forest fires turn out to be true, one of the most iconic places in the Chernobyl Zone is lost forever.

“Emerald” childrens summer camp was the very first place I’ve seen on my first ever trip to Chernobyl, so watching satellite photos of the fire slowly consuming this forest was heartbreaking.
