In the North-West side of Pripyat we can find what remains of the massive greenhouses. Once measuring 285 x 75 metres (935 x 250 feet) and now partially collapsed and stripped from any valuable pumps, piping and other equipment, even this seemingly mundane part of the city hides a little secret. Nothing in the Chernobyl Zone is what it appears to be.
For many years after the accident, the greenhouses and the nearby experimental field were used to research the effects of radionuclides in soil on plants growth.

Yes. I first explored this area in 2016. By then, only the torso of the greenhouses was left, so I was more interested in the adjacent buildings. I visited it later in 2022 and almost nothing was left. It’s a shame that these archives are constantly changing. I follow you guys regularly on Facebook, you do a good job!
